At Teqluc, the operator of teqluc.in, we genuinely care about your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit and use our website and services, how we use it, and when we might share it. By using our services, including our websites or participating in our surveys, you're agreeing to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
Sometimes our services might be offered through or connect you to third-party apps or websites. Be aware that these might redirect you back to those third-party platforms.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
When you sign up for Teqluc, you give us what's called "personally identifiable information" – things like your name and email address. You also have the option to share demographic details about yourself and even upload photos.
To become a member, we ask for your:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Zip Code
- Gender
- Country
- Username
- Password
We might also ask for additional information to help us tailor our services, such as your:
- Address
- Telephone Number
- IP Address
- General demographic information (like postal code, marital status, education, relationship status, occupation history, ethnicity/race where legally permitted, health information, employment details)
- Non-personally identifiable information about household members, household income, and age.
If you provide information about family members, live-in members, or your spouse, we'll ask you to confirm that you have their consent to share their personally identifiable information with us.
The more accurate information you provide, the better we can tailor our efforts to you. You can update your account information anytime by logging in and going to the "My Preferences" section under your name on the Dashboard. We encourage you to keep your information current so that Teqluc always has accurate details about you. We strive to ensure that all collected information is relevant for its intended use and is reliable, valid, complete, and current.
Information We Collect Automatically ("Response Metadata")
When you visit our site or open our emails, we automatically collect and store information about your computer or mobile device and your online activities. We call this "Response Metadata," and it's handled according to this Privacy Policy. Response Metadata (also called "Response Data") and related information may be shared with survey generators, researchers, clients, and app developers. It can also be provided to other companies for their own purposes, including marketing.
If you want to stop us from sharing this information with these third parties, you can contact us at privacy@teqluc.in or delete your account entirely.
Response Metadata includes, but isn't limited to:
- "Cookies" Information: We may send small text files called "cookies" to your computer. These files help us analyze how our services are used, understand user preferences or trends (for example, allowing you to bypass a survey you've already completed), and generally operate our services. We use both session cookies (which disappear when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain on your computer). You can usually remove persistent cookies through your web browser settings. If your location requires your consent for us to use certain cookies, we'll ask for it before deploying them. If you disable or reject cookies, some of our services might not work correctly, and you accept responsibility for any reduced functionality.
- Device Details: Technical specifications about your computer or device, such as your web browser, operating system, device type, and IP address.
- Geographic Location: We use your computer's or device's IP address to determine your approximate geographic location.
- Time, Duration, and Extent of Usage: This includes how long you use our services (e.g., the time it takes to complete a survey) and which features or functions you use.
- Web Beacons: Also known as "pixel tags" or "clear gifs," these are small, transparent graphic images that may be used in emails along with cookies to help us understand user behavior and tailor our services.
Optionally Collected Information
If you agree to participate and install our optional contextual tracking on your computer or mobile device, you're giving us permission to passively collect information about your online behavior. When you enable Mobile Device ID collection, we can gather identifiers like Apple’s Identifier for Advertising ID (IDFA) and Google’s Android Advertising ID (AAID). This helps us identify you within mobile applications and match you with relevant survey opportunities.
When you use your computer with this tracking enabled, we may record:
- The websites you visit and when.
- How long you spend browsing or using them.
- The words and phrases you enter into search engines and which search engines you use.
- The software and applications you use for browsing and internet usage.
You can pause or disable this optional contextual tracking at any time.
Additional Information We Might Collect
Survey Information
When we host surveys for our partners, we may collect the information you provide in those surveys. Please note that Teqluc doesn't own this information; any information you provide in surveys is used according to the survey partner's privacy practices.
User Feedback
If you provide us with comments, suggestions, or feedback related to our Services (referred to as “Feedback’), you understand that we may, although not obligated to do so, retain, utilize, disclose or otherwise commercially use your Feedback in connection with any or all of our Services without any compensation or consideration to you.
How We Use Your Information
Teqluc uses the information we collect to provide all the features and services on our site. When you complete offers and surveys, we need to identify you to confirm completion and credit your account. We may also use your email address to communicate with you and notify you of suitable offers or surveys. We might use your email for marketing purposes, unless you tell us you prefer not to ("opt-out"). Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we'll still use your email for non-marketing purposes, like automatic notifications about account activity or major site updates.
Please remember that if you provide your name, other profile details, and photos and make them publicly viewable, other users can see them.
Here's a summary of how we may use your information:
- To assess and generate survey data for our services and third-party customers.
- Using cookies, we can: (a) remember your information so you don't have to re-enter it; (b) provide personalized ads, content, and information; (c) monitor our marketing campaigns' effectiveness; and (d) track aggregate usage metrics like total visitors and page views.
- To develop new features and functionality.
- To enhance the survey experience and overall survey delivery.
- To minimize fraud and other illegal activities.
- To monitor and analyze trends and usage with Google Analytics, which provides us with aggregated information about how users interact with our site. Google Analytics sets cookies and/or uses web beacons for this purpose. The information collected by Google Analytics (including any personal information about you) is sent to and used by Google according to their own privacy policy, not ours. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for more information.
- To communicate with you about our various services.
- To provide, maintain, and improve our services and business.
Where required by law, we will ask for your explicit consent before processing: (i) personal information for marketing purposes, and (ii) personal, sensitive information as defined by applicable law.
You can withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal information at any time for legitimate reasons by contacting Teqluc at privacy@teqluc.in. We'll apply your preferences moving forward. In some cases, withdrawing consent might affect your ability to access certain services, surveys, or promotional offers.
You can also opt out of receiving marketing communications by email by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us at privacy@teqluc.in.
Optional contextual tracking operates quietly in the background and won't affect your internet speed. We won't intentionally use it to collect highly sensitive personal information like passwords, usernames, social security numbers, financial information (other than visiting a financial institution's website or app), or health information (other than visiting a health insurance or healthcare provider's website or searching for medical conditions).
Information Collected by Third Parties
Teqluc connects you with various third parties through their offers and surveys. If you subscribe to or opt into a third-party offer or survey, we may provide your information to that third party to facilitate your relationship with them. We may also share information with our service providers who help us with things like website hosting, IT, data analysis, email delivery, auditing, and customer service.
Often, third parties will ask for your personally identifiable information directly when you complete an offer, survey, or use their websites. Teqluc is not responsible for any information you provide to these third parties. We recommend reading their privacy policies.
Teqluc may share both personally identifiable and automatically collected information with affiliated companies or other businesses to process information on our behalf, maintain website security, offer certain features, improve our site's functionality and appearance, and create new features. We require these parties to comply with our Privacy Policy, limit their use of your information, and use appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
We may share automatically collected and other aggregated non-personally identifiable information with interested third parties for their business purposes, including helping them understand usage patterns for content, services, advertisements, and promotions.
We may share optionally collected information to develop statistics about internet use and online activity and provide aggregate data to clients regarding consumer behavior and interest in products and services.
We may share personally identifiable information with other third-party organizations for their marketing or promotional use without your consent, except for specific programs or features where you will have the option to opt-out.
We may disclose your personally identifiable information if we genuinely believe it's necessary to:
- Comply with laws or respond to legal demands (subpoenas, court orders, warrants).
- Establish or defend Teqluc from legal claims.
- Protect and defend our rights or property, your rights, or third parties from fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service or illegal acts.
- Protect the safety or integrity of Teqluc, its users, the public, or other parties, as we deem appropriate.
You agree to us sharing your personally identifiable information under these circumstances.
We may also share your personal and/or socio-demographic information, including a unique identification number (UID), postal code, gender, marital status, education, ethnicity/race (where permitted by law), employment-related information, and non-personally identifiable information on household members, with third-party sample/market research companies ("Third Party MR Companies"). This is to help them identify survey opportunities you might be eligible for. These Third Party MR Companies may share your socio-demographic information with their clients or vendors.
This also includes information shared with an acquirer, successor, or assignee during a reorganization, sale, merger, joint venture, transfer, assignment, or disposition of part or all of our business, assets, or stock, including during bankruptcy. Similarly, if required by law or in good faith, Third Party MR Companies may deem the following actions necessary:
- Under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence.
- To comply with legal processes.
- To respond to requests from public and government authorities, including those outside your country of residence.
- To enforce our terms and conditions.
- To protect our operations or those of our affiliates.
- To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you, or others.
- To allow us to pursue available remedies or limit damages we may incur.
If you're eligible for a survey, the Third Party MR Company will send your unique identification number and a survey link to us, and we'll invite you to participate. We won't share your name, email address, or phone number with Third Party MR Companies. Your information shared with a Third Party MR Company may be transferred and stored outside your country of residence. If you have questions about this data sharing or want to opt out, please contact us at privacy@teqluc.in or delete your account in your Teqluc Preferences. Your participation in these survey opportunities does not grant you any benefits from, or membership with, the Third Party MR Companies.
Unless otherwise noted in this Privacy Policy, Teqluc does not share personal information about users with third parties unless it's appropriate to fulfill a user's request, or if we reasonably believe it's legally required or in Teqluc's interest to protect its property or other legal rights, or the rights or property of others.
Teqluc is accountable for personal data received under the Privacy Shield and subsequently transferred to a third party. We remain responsible if third-party agents we engage to process data on our behalf do so in a way that's inconsistent with the Privacy Shield Principles, unless we prove we are not responsible for the event causing the damage.
User Profile and Password
You can access your personal information and update, correct, or delete your member information and email preferences at any time.
To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting profile access. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING YOUR UNIQUE PASSWORD AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION SECRET AT ALL TIMES.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF CERTAIN CATEGORIES OF INFORMATION IDENTIFIED BY TEQLUC FROM TIME TO TIME, ALL INFORMATION YOU POST FOR VIEWING ON THE SITE IS MADE PUBLICLY AVAILABLE TO ALL USERS.
How We Protect Your Data
While we strive to protect your personal information from loss, breaches, disclosure, modification, or destruction through maintenance and security measures, any information you provide is subject to unauthorized access or use, hardware or software failure, and the inherent risks of internet usage. This means there's a potential for your data's security to be compromised at any time. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
We use secure server software (SSL) and firewalls to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, this is not a guarantee that such information won't be illegally or improperly accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by a breach of these firewalls and secure server software.
If Teqluc learns of a security breach, we may try to notify you electronically so you can take protective steps. By using the site or providing us with personal information, you agree that we can communicate with you electronically about security, privacy, and administrative issues related to your use of the site. Teqluc may post a notice on the site if a security breach occurs. We may also send an email to the address you've provided. Depending on where you live, you might have a legal right to receive written notice of a security breach. To receive a free written notice (or to withdraw your consent for electronic notice), please email us at privacy@teqluc.in.
Location of Data
We may transfer the information we collect about you to countries other than where it was initially obtained. Please note that some countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country where you first provided the data. We will protect your data as described in this Privacy Policy when we transfer it to other countries. By using our services, you agree to the collection, use, transfer, storage, and release of your information as outlined in this Privacy Policy. This includes exporting data outside your country of residence. If you are using our services outside of the United States, please be aware that your data, including Response Data, may be sent to, stored, and processed in the United States. Consequently, under applicable U.S. laws and regulations, U.S. federal and state governments, courts, or law enforcement might be able to obtain disclosure of your information, such as your Response Data.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES MAY TREAT YOUR INFORMATION IN A SUBSTANTIALLY DIFFERENT AND LESS PROTECTIVE MANNER THAN THE LAWS OF OTHER COUNTRIES AND JURISDICTIONS. IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED TO THE UNITED STATES, YOU SHOULD NOT SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH US OR USE OUR SITE.
TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY THE LAW OF YOUR COUNTRY, YOU EXPRESSLY WAIVE ANY RIGHT YOU MAY HAVE TO REQUIRE US TO TREAT YOUR IDENTIFYING INFORMATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF ANY COUNTRY OR JURISDICTION OTHER THAN THE UNITED STATES. HOWEVER, THIS WAIVER MAY NOT BE LEGALLY BINDING IN SOME COUNTRIES, SUCH AS EUROPEAN UNION MEMBER STATES. IF IT'S NOT LEGALLY BINDING IN YOUR COUNTRY, THIS WAIVER DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Child Protection
In line with the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect or ask for Response Data or personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of sixteen (16). Anyone providing personal information to Teqluc through the site confirms they are 16 years of age or older. If you are a parent or legal guardian and discover that your child has provided us with any of the above, please contact Teqluc at privacy@teqluc.in to have their information deleted.
How to Opt Out
Our site allows you to affirmatively opt out of receiving communications from us and our partners when we ask for your information. You also have the option to end our use of your information and stop receiving or accessing future communications or services. Contact us at privacy@teqluc.in.
Third-Party Advertisers
Teqluc may allow other companies, called third-party ad servers or ad networks, to display advertisements within our site. These companies may use technology to send ads and links directly to your browser, automatically receiving your IP address when this happens. They may also use other technologies (like cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons) to measure ad effectiveness and personalize content.
If your web browser includes a "Do Not Track" signal, Teqluc will not respond to it. This is because Teqluc doesn't track users across the web except as part of a specific program or feature for which you will have the ability to opt-in.
Teqluc does not authorize the collection of personally identifiable information by, or provide personally identifiable information to, these third-party ad servers or ad networks, except as part of a specific program or feature where you opt-in. Also, if an advertiser asks Teqluc to show an ad to a certain audience, and you respond to that ad, the advertiser or ad-server might conclude that you fit the description of their target audience.
You should consult the privacy policies of these third-party ad servers or ad networks. Teqluc’s Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, such other ad servers or ad networks or their websites.
In the Event of Merger or Sale
If Teqluc ever files for bankruptcy or has its assets sold to or merges with another entity, the information Teqluc receives from you through the site is a Teqluc asset and may be transferred to another party. However, in such a transfer, we will require the new party to honor this Privacy Policy as it applies to users prior to the effective date of any such transfer, unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
Teqluc reserves the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time for any reason. When we make changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this policy. Each time we update it, you'll be required to affirmatively accept the new Privacy Policy. If you don't, you won't be able to access or use the site anymore.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at privacy@teqluc.in.
